Comparing Unitary and Federal Systems of Government - In the majority of nations, the public government contains multiple governments within itself, each of which have their own jurisdiction and laws. There are two systems of government, the unitary system and the federal system.

Federal district - Federal districts are subdivisions of a federal system of government. Often, these districts are not one of the countries' component subdivisions, and should not be confused with them, but are rather separate entities under the direct control of the federal government.

Federal Court of Canada - The Federal Court of Canada was the court system set up by the Canadian national government to resolve disputes that arise under the national government's jurisdiction. It consisted of two divisions, a Trial Division and an Appeal Division (more commonly known as the Federal Court of Appeal).

United States federal courts - The United States federal courts are the system of courts organized under the Constitution and laws of the Federal government of the United States.
